Grounded...

I wanted to write this post so I will always remember and be able to tell Colt the first time he got GROUNDED!!! I love my wonderful and wild son, but there are some days I wonder how I am going to be able to do it for another 18+ years. Tuesday evening Colt was playing outside when I noticed that all of a sudden it was really quiet. I looked out and he was gone. Now I know exactly where he went, that's the good thing about living out in the sticks, there are only so many places he can go. I found him at the neighbors jumping on their trampoline, which was covered in cheese balls, along with all of the kids. We haven't met these neighbors yet, we just know that they also have kids. Of course Colt has no problem playing in their yard, there "his friends". As I am standing at the neighbors gate (who I dont know) yelling for Colt to get off the trampoline and come home with me, their pit bull is trying to rip my neck off through the fence. I was getting so upset, finally an older kid grabbed him and threw him over the fence to me. When we got home we had to have a long talk with Colt and I grounded him for a week from playing with his friends outside. Nothing works with this kid! I am trying to get creative and am hoping that he starts to understand that he has to listen and if he doesnt that there are consequences. I am probably the only mother that has to ground their 3 year old!!! Ohhh, I just can't wait for the many adventures he is going to bring :)
